Advisory #4: Provincials/Nationals Cancelled

Today we received official notice that both the Ontario Provincial Championships and the Canadian National Championships have been cancelled. As a club, we support this decision that places public health at the highest priority. We are all understandably saddened at the abrupt and sudden end to our volleyball season; our hearts especially ache for those graduating athletes who will end their club career in this manner. Many of these athlete have been with us for 7 seasons or more. We are proud of each and every one of you and remember – Once a Rebel, Always a Rebel.

At this time, we have not made a decision on our year-end rep banquet that is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 27 — currently 9 weeks away.

Once feasible, our executive will meet to discuss the next steps in terms of athlete refunds and summer camp. Any new updates will be sent through your team’s parent rep – please continue to use your TeamSnap messaging to receive the most current information.

We are very saddened by this news but know it is the right decision – we are facing very unprecedented times and no one is able to predict how long this situation will continue. We can only ask that everyone does their part by following public health guidelines and STAY HOME, when possible.

In the meantime, we will be working on the year-end banquet slideshow. Please give your team’s banquet rep any photos to be included in the slideshow. We know everyone has some great memories to share!

To those athletes who have been working hard at home, there’s no need to stop – keep sweating, learning, and getting better! Tryouts for next season start now and we know our teams have some unfinished business to take care of!

Invado/OVA Beach 4s Tournament in Support of Durham Rebels

Invado Volleyball is proud to have partnered with local club teams in Ontario.  Grassroots programs are the lifeblood of Ontario volleyball and so many volunteers, parents, and players give so much to the sport we all love – and now it’s our turn to give back.

The ‘Invado Club Awards Program’ seeks to help OVA club volleyball teams fund programs, cover volunteer expenses, and help cover rising fees for families in need.  Many athletes and families can’t afford club or ‘rep’ programs, so we’re doing what we can to help kids get on the courts and help teams to support them while they do!  Aside from direct donations to clubs, Invado is also hosting ‘Club Day’ community fundraising tournaments.
