Indoor Summer Volleyball Camp

All of our camp weeks are now at capacity but you are encouraged to register for the WAITLIST
to be prioritized if additional spots become available.

Camp Features

Rebels summer volleyball camps are 5 full days of volleyball at Canada Christian College, conveniently located on Water Street in south Whitby near the 401 and the Whitby Go Train station. CCC is a spacious, air conditioned facility.

Our camps offer a full complement of exciting drills, skills, and game play. Athletes will enjoy position-specialty sessions along with individual skill and team instruction. Camps combine a blend of physical and technical training in conjunction with game strategy and mental toughness. Players will receive a camp t-shirt, written evaluation at the end of camp week, and group photo.

Coaches

Camp Director and Lead Coach: Paul Koot continues to lead our summer volleyball camps. Coach Paul is a successful provincial and national championship coach with over four decades of coaching experience. Paul is an advanced (level 3) development coach.

Each camp group is led by highly experienced head coaches with competitive club volleyball coaching experience.

All Durham Rebels coaches must undergo background screenings, be Safe Sport certified, and participate in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

Cost and Refund Policy

$360 per week (5 full days) due at registration, includes camp t-shirt, written player evaluation, and group photo.

Registration fees are non-refundable after April 30, 2022 (a $25 administration fee will apply). If space allows, campers may request to switch weeks if their registered week no longer works for their summer schedule. After April 30, an exception will be considered in situations where an athlete experiences significant injury or a health issue documented by a physician’s note that precludes their participation. In this situation, the Club will consider all committed expenses to determine any possible pro-rated refund. All refund requests must be submitted, in writing, to the Club’s Treasurer and include the physician’s note.

If camp is cancelled due to COVID-19, a full refund will be provided less any costs already incurred on behalf of the participant.

Skill Level

Participants will be assessed on the first morning and placed in skill and age-appropriate groups; we kindly ask parents not to request athletes be placed together as participants must be assigned to groups that best match their ability, age, and experience. Rebels volleyball camps cater to beginner, intermediate, advanced, and high performance players.

What to Bring

If facility and public health guidelines permit, participants will have the option to pre-order lunch Tuesday-Friday. More information will be provided the week prior to the start date.

Participants should arrive at camp dressed to play (limited access to change rooms) and bring:

  • Large refillable water bottle (please do not send disposable bottles)
  • Peanut/nut-free lunch and snacks
  • Clean, indoor running shoes
  • Knee pads (optional, but recommended)
  • Small face cloth or sweat rag
  • Sunscreen and hat (participants may eat lunch outside if weather permits)

Note: Our camps will comply with all COVID-19 safety protocols in place at the time of camp. As of March 2022, participants are NOT required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
