Learn to Play Volleyball (LTP)

Program Overview

Our Learn to Play Volleyball program is renowned throughout the Durham Region as THE program to teach young athletes how to play the game, the right way. By focusing on fundamentals, core skill acquisition, lots of meaningful touches, and increasing athletic confidence in a fun and supportive environment, our LTP participants can be assured they’re learning developmentally appropriate skills led by certified adult coaches.

Our training model focuses on using the first 8 weeks for skills and drills to ensure athletes get more ‘touches’ on the ball than they would during a game-play environment. The final two weeks will be spent enjoying various forms of gameplay based on the age and skillset of athletes (ie. 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 6v6).

If your child takes part in our tryouts and makes and accepts a position on one of our competitive teams, their LTP registration fee will be credited toward their rep team fees. This request must be communicated before our LTP program begins and within 48 hours of accepting a position on one of our competitive teams. This allows us to ensure athletes on the LTP waitlist have an opportunity to enroll before the program begins.

Wait lists will only be opened once all options for a division (junior or senior) are full. We encourage you to consider another evening/location if your preferred option is full.
