	newsout += "The Ontario women took home gold at the National Team Training Competition (NTCC's) which was held recently in Winnipeg.   DRVC's Lauren Stirling was a member of the gold medal winning Ontario 18U team, which went undefeated during the tournament with 2 victories over Alberta, and single victories over Manitoba, Quebec, and British Columbia.<br /><br />";

The event has evolved from previous editions with a high performance component incorporated into the schedules, prior to the main competitions. The participating teams have the opportunity to be involved in training sessions with national team coaches, and partake in classroom sessions with national team athletes and sport science experts.<br /><br />";
	newsout += "Ontario submitted 2 teams of 11 athletes each into the NTTC, technically a 17U team and an 18U team, but there were a few 17U athletes selected to the 18U team (including Lauren). Tori has been talking to a number of Canadian universities over the last few months, but Brock University emerged as the clear choice.  The final step in the process occurred this past weekend in St. Catharines, as Tori (along with 2 other recruits) was invited to visit Brock University.  Over the course of the weekend, Tori was taken on a tour of the campus by team captain Kaila Wiley, practiced with the varsity team on Friday afternoon, enjoyed a pizza party with the girls after practice, and played for the Badgers in the 21U Provincial Championship - from which they took home the gold medal by defeating McMaster in the final.<br /><br />The coaching staff wanted to see how the recruits and current players would mesh in a game situation.  &quot;We could not ask for a better result.  We played really well at times and got to see everyone in action in every different possible scenario&quot; said Lucas Hodgson - Head Coach of the Brock University women's program.   &quot;All 3 recruits were put in tough positions over the course of the day and all came out unfazed and played quite well.  We are quite excited to have these girls come next year and make an impact.
