art2012_u17_humber += "The girls, coaches and parents were up bright and early Sunday morning October 30th to drive to Humber College for our first tournament of the season.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_humber += "After a close first set against the Scarborough Titans the girls brought their game and went undefeated in round robin play.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_humber += "Their first place finish in pool play earned them a bye to the semi-finals against Toronto West.  DRVC took both games, and were then on to the Gold medal game against Aurora Storm.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_humber += "Although 17U beat the evenly matched Storm in round robin, it was Storm's turn to win, and take Gold, so DRVC went home with the Silver medal.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_humber += "It was a fantastic outcome for the new 17U team.  The girls played well on the court and the bonded over lunch, iPODs, texting, homework, and cheering on their 18U club mates!<br /><br />";

art2012_u17_u17provcup += "The 17U team had their first OVA road trip the weekend of November 26th, heading to Ottawa for the Provincial Cup hosted by the Ottawa Mavericks.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u17provcup += "While the day began slowly, with some very disappointing results, the girls rallied back at their cross-over against Interclub.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u17provcup += "Though the scores don't reflect it, the girls played much stronger against the Diamonds in the quarters, and then took Storm in three.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u17provcup += "The highlight of the day had to be the 2nd set against the Mavericks when the girls emerged victorious with the score of 33-31!<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u17provcup += "Their final seeding ended up being 6th so they will remain in Championship East for their next 17U, the Challenge Cup, on January 14th,  2012.<br /><br />";

art2012_u17_u18challcup += "The first match of the day was against the Knights VC.&nbsp;&nbsp;The girls were really on their game taking the first match easily.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the second set Cydney stepped up at 5-5 to serve a staggering 20 points !!!!<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u18challcup += "The second set of pool play was against TCA from London.&nbsp;&nbsp;TCA had a very strong outside hitter but that didn't stop DRVC from winning both sets.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u18challcup += "Their first place finish in pool earned them a bi to the quarters where they faced the Richmond Hill Raiders.&nbsp;&nbsp;The girls took both sets again.<br />";
art2012_u17_u18challcup += "In the semi's the girls faced the Ganaraska Wolves.&nbsp;&nbsp;The team seemed to lose focus after playing the weaker Richmond Hill team and the Wolves took both from us.<br /><br />";
art2012_u17_u18challcup += "The loss to the Wolves meant we were playing for bronze.&nbsp;&nbsp;The bronze medal match was against the Peterborough Thunder, and DRVC brought home the bling!&nbsp;&nbsp;A celebratory team dinner afterwards capped off the day!<br /><br />";
