art_2011_u15o_stingers += "The girls headed out for their first tournament of the season.  We did not have all of our ten of girls playing due to an injury of one member of the team.  Nine of the girls rallied together for a fun and full day of volleyball.  We worked together and saw the strengths of each girl come to life..<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_stingers += "<u>Game 1 against the Stouffville Stingers</u><br />";
art_2011_u15o_stingers += "We lost both sets.  16-25 and 20-25.  We rallied together, stay focused but needed to gain some momentum as we moved onto our next game.<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_stingers += "<u>Game 2 against the Toronto West</u><br />";
art_2011_u15o_stingers += "These were much faster sets and the girls from Toronto West were a competitive team.  The girls started to gel together and while we lost, we played well and a solid effort by all.  Our scores were; 16-25 and 16-25.<br /><br />";

art_2011_u15o_stingers += "We were evenly matched with Leaside and the girls won 25-22 , lost in the 2nd match 18-25 and in the tie breaker we seemed to lose a bit of momentum to a loss of 6-15.  We felt a bit defeated, but the energy was channeled appropriately as we headed into our last game of the day.<br /><br />";

art_2011_u15o_stingers += "The girls came alive!  The girls were awesome!.  The coaches were excited and we all could feel the energy on the court.  The BSVSMASH were a strong team who fought hard to stay in the lead, but our girls showed their true DRVC orange and blue colours and we shone on the court.  We WON both sets with a 25-22 and 25-23 score(s).<br /><br />";

art_2011_u15o_u15provcup += "Our first OVA tournament was off to an exciting start.  DRVC Orange faced Durham Attack 14U Black and won 2 straight.<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_u15provcup += "Then DRVC 15U Orange took on Peterborough Thunder who won 2 out of 3. They did come first in their pool as Peterborough Thunder lost to Durham Attack 14U Black.<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_u15provcup += "DRVC 15U Orange won the next two games against the Maverick Colts to win the crossover game.<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_u15provcup += "Next DRVC 15U faced their toughest competitors, the Ottawa Fusion Red (A team). The games were close but Ottawa took both games.<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_u15provcup += "DRVC Orange went on to play for Bronze against the Durham Attack Black 14U.  Both games were close with a win for each team.  The tie breaker was not their best game of the day and lost the bronze to Durham Attack Black U14.<br /><br />";
art_2011_u15o_u15provcup += "DRVC U15 Orange finished an overall fourth in their first OVA tournament. They played well and the games were close, we look forward to watch the next tournament.";

art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "<span class='orng'>Game 1:  DRVC Orange vs. Thornhill Stingers.</span><br />Start time 9am<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "Thornhill had the first serve, DRVC girls had great communication but it was a slow start for us.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  We had strong serves but the girls werenÕt moving to the ball which resulted in a 25-20 loss for us in the first half.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "For our second game DRVC had a great start and took an early lead; the girls had great 3-hits and excellent setting.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  We had some excellent blocks, but still need to be a little stronger at the net, get those hands up girls!";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "Excellent job calling the ball to let your team mates know you want that ball.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "All said and done we won that set 25-23; which meant we needed a tie breaker game.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "DRVC went into the tie-breaker game confident from their win but the Stingers took an early lead and the DRVC girls couldnÕt recover.";

art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "<span class='orng'>Game 2:  DRVC Orange vs. Peterborough Thunder</span><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "DRVC won the first serve, we had strong deep serves; the girls were really working well as a team.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  Excellent 3 hits.  We worked very hard and came from behind to win the first game 25-17.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "The second half saw more great serving; the girls were really playing well together.  Consistent sets and spikes.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  There was so much energy on the court the parents felt it too, as you could tell by all the cheering.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  (I think we drowned out the teams on the other courts)  We won the second game also with a score of 25-13.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "<span class='orng'>Game 3:  DRVC Orange vs. Phenix</span><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "Coming off a break the DRVC girls had a very slow start, it seemed as if their feet were glued to the floor and there was very little communication.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  They seemed frustrated and a little unorganized; they were fighting for every point.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "Coach called a time out and the girls came back to the court with a game plan.  The remainder of the first half was very exciting.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  Point for point each team took the lead; the teams were never separated by more than one or two points at a time.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "DRVC girls won the first half 25-17.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "The second set was even better; with the high from their win the girls took an early lead and won with 10 points separating the score 25-15.";

art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "<span class='orng'>Game 4: DRVC Orange vs. Durham Attack Black</span><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "The girls were a little nervous going into this game.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  Attack took a very early lead but the DRVC girls pulled together and got the lead back and kept the score at a couple points ahead.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  Adrenaline was running high with both the players as well as the parents for both teams.  Both teams played excellent 3-balls.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  After an extremely intense game with the score going back and forth Attack won with a score of 26-24.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "The second half saw the DRVC girls with a new intensity; they were not going to let Attack win.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  However, Attack again took an early lead; DRVC fought hard to tie it up at the first time out.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  We took a big lead but Attack came back again, this game was truly a nail biter.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  End result DRVC 25; Attack 17, which meant a tie breaker game was needed.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  By this time I think the girls were exhausted, they played an excellent game but just couldnÕt keep it up.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  The tie breaker game ended with Attack 15 and DRVC 6.  For game 5 we were off to Trenton High School.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "<span class='orng'>Game 5:  DRVC Orange vs. Astros</span><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "A bit of a slow start for our final game of the day; with a new environment to play in the girls were a little out of sorts.";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "  Energy levels were low but we managed to pull out a win at 25 Š 23.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "The second game had a little more energy but our hearts just werenÕt in it; 25-22 loss.<br /><br />";
art2011_u15o_u15mcgregor += "Tie breaker game was very evenly matched; neither team wanted to give up a point.  DRVC took the lead and won 15-11.<br /><br />";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "DRVC Orange girls 15U volleyball team started the provincial tournament playing Leaside Lightning White team from Toronto.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  The girls were off to a slow start losing their first game 25 - 16. The second game was much closer as the girls fought hard to win.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  After eventually tying the game, Leaside finally won 27 - 25.<br /><br />";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "Playing against their Durham rivals, Durham Attack Black 14U, the girls came out strong maintaining a 7 point lead for 3/4 of the game,";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += " working well as a team. Later they suddenly fell apart, and Durham Attack managed to tie up the game and continued to a win with a score of 25 - 21.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  Second game, the Rebels worked hard, but were unable to take any lead. The score ended 25 - 19 for Durham Attack.<br /><br />";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "Our last match for Friday was against ACTS Elites Burgundy from Caladonia.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "Energy levels were low, but the game was close until the end, when ACTS Elite won the game 25 - 19.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  DRVC Orange came back strong for the next game. They played well together; serving well, consistent sets and spikes.";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "DRVC Orange came pumped to play volleyball for day 2.  Our first game was against Royal City Ravens from Guelph.  Unfortunately, the girls";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += " lost 25 - 19.  In the second game, the girls fought hard coming from behind to tie the game (23 - 23) after the Guelph team had a 7 point lead.";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "The next 2 games were controlled by Halton Hurricane Blue from Burlington.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  This team was consistently spiking into all of our holes and was very strong at the net.  DRVC Orange was defeated 25 - 8 and 25 - 14.<br /><br />";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "The last game for Saturday was against the Diamonds from Scarborough.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  This was a very close game.  One point at a time being won by each team.  The Diamonds took a lead in the end and DRVC couldn't recover";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += " with the score finishing 25 - 18 for Scarborough.";
art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  The 2nd game was off to a slow start for DRVC.  The Diamonds had the lead, but DRVC made a consistent effort and came from behind to win";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "  DRVC went into the tie breaker with confidence and energy from their win, but the Diamonds took an early lead ending in a 15 - 10 victory for Scarborough.<br /><br />";

art2011_u15o_ontchamps += "We headed into day three as a team with mixed emotions and team spirit!  The girls kicked into high gear during our first game!<br /><br />";
