art_16U_Humber_Classic += "DRVC's 16U team participated in two Humber Classic tournaments this year.  On October 18, they played up in the 17U division.  The following weekend, October 25, they returned to play with their own 16U division.<br /><br />";
art_16U_Humber_Classic += "The girls, playing for the first two times as a team, had impressive showings, taking 3rd in the 17U tournament and 1st in the 16U!  With so much enthusiasm and potential, this team is looking forward to an awesome season.<br /><br />";

art_16u_16uprovcup += "The team travelled to Ottawa for a fabulous (and long) day of volleyball.  The excitement began as the team was provided with a high speed police escort to the tournament facility (complete with an en route hand off from one officer to another as we reached the border of his territory). The team came out of the morning at the top of their pool with victories over Interclub 25/9 and 25/26 and Toronto West 30/28 and 25/23.<br /><br />";
art_16u_16uprovcup += "The long wait for the first crossover game didn’t slow down the momentum as we dominated Aurora Storm Monsoon 25/15 and 25/17.  The girls continued to work well as a team but came up just short in hard fought games against the Ottawa Mavericks and Aurora Storm Thunder ending with a 4th place finish for the day.  Great work girls!!!!!!!<br /><br />";

Powering through the morning with substantial wins over E381 and Toronto West 17U they went into the crossover match as a force to be reckoned  with trouncing Markham 25/6 and 25/12,  The girls were unstoppable and had found an undeniable rhythm as they moved through teams to the Gold Medal game.  Meeting up with Toronto West 16U again who they had beat the weekend before, they continued with our strong play and ended with Silver in a 3rd set heartbreaker.<br /><br />";

art_16u_16umcgregorcup += "DRVC 16U girls hit their stride with an incredible day of volleyball.  Starting the day with a decisive win over Toronto West the girls showed just the type of endurance they had as they played 6 straight games with no break.  Meeting the Mavericks in their 5th game of the day, the team maintained their high level of play and focus dominating in the 3rd set tiebreaker.  DRVC advanced to the Gold Medal round ahead of some of the most competitive teams in the province.  DRVC proudly took the Silver Medal!  Way to go girls!!!!!";

art_16u_17umcgregorcup += "Heart stopping action (especially for the spectators) ruled the morning with the team going to back to back tiebreakers in their first 2 match ups.  Starting with the Storm Monsoon 16U, DRVC took the first set with ease and moving on to Barrie Elites 17U with a 3rd set win.  The girls came out of the morning 2nd in their pool.   The crossover games started with a straightforward win over Durham Attack Red 16U and a loss to Titan’s Nemesis leading us into the game for 5th place.  In a decisive win over Durham Attack Black 17U, DRVC 16U took home 5th place!!!!!";

Unstoppable by Attack Black, Interclub 16U and Northern Chill there was no limit to flawless serving, passing, setting and hitting.   Cruising into the Gold Medal match the team continued to be an imposing force taking Barrie Elites to 3 sets finishing with the Silver Medal.  Well done girls!!!!!!";
