November 19, 2016, Oshawa, ON: Playing in their first OVA tournament of the season, DRVC 16U came out strong at this weekend’s 17U Provincial Cup at local Maxwell Heights Secondary School in Oshawa, Ontario. Looking distinguished in their new uniforms, they started the day well-rested and in bright spirits. As one of the only two 16U teams at the tournament, the girls held their own and brought a challenging level of competition to the gym. Great recoveries, outstanding hits and serves, and overall team comradery had spectators forgetting the girls were playing up a year. After a long stretch of games which all went to three sets, the day ended with the girls placing fifth. Great job girls! A huge thanks goes out to Durham Attack for their exemplary tournament organization and to our parents for providing a well-prepared lunch. Additional thanks are extended to the coaches for their expertise and dedication, and to our manager for an outstanding job keeping us parents in-the-know on all accounts.

Go Rebels!!
