Congratulations to Durham Rebels athletes Hannah Knier and Nadia Lindner on making Team Ontario. Both Class of 2019 players have been working hard up in Nippissing at the annual High Performance Centre camp. Hannah will be representing Team Ontario Black (17U) while Nadia was selected for Team Ontario Red (16U). Nadia is just new to the competitive volleyball world but her athleticism and work ethic have brought her so far in such a short time! The teams depart this Tuesday to compete in the Canada Cup taking place in Richmond, BC. #ohtheplacesyoullgo #HPC #durhamrebels #wearerebels #drvcvolleyball #ontariovolleyball
Coaches Paul, Pat, Phil and Deb are back in the gym this week to offer the first of two weeks of summer volleyball camp. Our campers got right to it this morning and are already showing improvement with footwork and ball control. Take a look at this morning’s photos.
Congratulations to Hannah Amos who was this year’s recipient of both the Athlete Achievement Award and the team MVP Award. Hannah was awarded her bursaries from club co-president Brandon Khan at our year-end banquet. Hannah played with Durham Rebels for her entire six years of club volleyball. Thank you to Invado Volleyball and another silent sponsor who helped make these bursaries possible. We wish Hannah good luck as she goes on to play with the Durham College Lords women’s volleyball team coached by Tony Clarke. Congratulations Hannah and thank you for committing your club career to the Durham Rebels Volleyball Club.
