The 2017/2018 18U team played in an 8 team pre-season warm-up on Sunday, October 29 at Humber College which included several prominent Premiere level teams. The team was slotted in 8th place going into the tournament which had 2 pools of four teams. Being their first tournament of the season and 50% of the team being new additions they started out slow but soon got into a better flow. After the pool play, the girls found themselves in 4th place which put them in the Championship Pool (Top 4) and vying for a medal. They played tough and battled to the end but lost in straight sets. All in all, it was a good warm-up for the start of the OVA season where they’ll start in the Championship Division hoping to win that tournament and move up to Premiere.
